Tomorrow (and I mean Friday; I’m actually taking the official time into account for once, eh?) marks day 182 of my dual photo-a-day projects. This means exactly half of the year has passed by…and somehow, I’ve managed to trudge my way through six months of forced artistic torture. There are so, so many things I could note about the journey up to this point, but it’s been...

I hate when I want to write something but decide...
Ironic because Tumblr refused to post this until an hour or so later, now that I’m pretty much calmed down already. I see what you’re doing there.

apathy
I haven’t done anything productive in the past week…s, and this has to change. One thing I vowed to do when I started packet was frequently updating it as a way to document my summer. This has been semi-successful thus far, but a big reason why I haven’t been as minute as I’d like to is because I have been literally doing nothing. As in, waking up, making lunch, watching a...

work
June marks two years that I’ve been a teaching assistant at the local tutoring center. I usually work exclusively on Sundays (Saturday mornings are too early), but randomly decided to sign up for a shift today. As I routinely paged through 40-50 binders, I couldn’t help but realize how strange it is that I know all of these kids’ names—probably about 70 of them, maybe more...

en attendant
I’m finally backing up my trusty yellow Dell, something I meant to do back in November when I first got my MBP. The part of me that forgot what it was like using it couldn’t understand why I was so repulsed by this prospect—all I do is plug in my external hard drive and open the necessary program, right? Wrong. Okay, I admit that I’m an Apple die-hard…but understand...

recap 6/16-19/11
Thursday Flew into San Francisco at 12pm and met up with my brother; we got off the BART in Downtown Berkeley and then ate at Burger Meister (cream soda floats!) before wandering around campus and waiting for my student orientation early check-in to begin. Rooms and roommates were based on who was in line around you, which was a bit strange, but ended out working to my advantage as I got a room...

wallowing
Soaking in the events of this weekend. I don’t want to be on the computer. I don’t want to start being cliché sentimental. All I know is that I’m physically and mentally and emotionally exhausted. I’m going to rest and let my swollen heart and mind and feet heal. Be back and will respond to whatever needs to be taken care of when the time comes. I’m hoping this only...

success
I have finally taken the initiative to cut all my bermuda school pants into wearable, appropriate-but-finally-comfortable shorts. Who said all those random colors and prints wouldn’t go to use after I graduate? Now all I have to do is lug out the sewing machine and give them official hems. I’d also like to mention that it’s kind of odd how happy this type of...

catching up
I’m about to leave for a little get-together with two of my closest friends, both who went off to college last autumn. It’s interesting how this naturally pulls people apart—one attends university close to home, but I actually see her less than the other, who is a good 8-9 hours away. And the funny thing is that our conversations can never collectively sum up everything...

beginnings
Three weeks, eight mosquito bites, a mild tan, and one slightly peeling forehead later, summer is in full bloom…and welcome to packet. This is my vacation destination, a seasonal treat to my design/aesthetic-starved blogger self. Whether p becomes dominantly an inspiration board or food blog or just another place to ramble is yet to be determined; nevertheless, let the fun begin! :)
